No Charges in Snapchat School Threat

Nottawasaga OPP identified youth after what were believed to be threats were delivered on Snapchat.

Nottawasaga OPP say they were called to a high school in Angus after what were believed to be threatening messages to students.

Police say around 3:45 pm Wednesday, students from Nottawasaga Pines Secondary had reported they received a Snapchat post that suggested students should not attend school the following day.

School staff called police but after a thorough investigation that involved Nottawasaga and Southern Georgian Bay OPP and Barrie Police, they were not able to identify the teen in the Snapchat.

Later police determined the individual responsible for the posting did not have the intent to carry out was suggested in the post.
